Awards gala

Awards gala

Every year for the last 25 years, the APF has been holding an awards ceremony to celebrate the major successes of the minority Francophone print press in Canada. Some fifteen awards are bestowed including one for the newspaper of the year. This event helps fund the Fondation Donatien-Frémont, which supports Francophone youth pursuing studies in communications, journalism or graphic arts. In 2009, the awards gala will take place on Friday, July 10 on a majestic golf course (Royal Oaks), in a suburb of Moncton. A cocktail reception will be followed by a gourmet dinner, with music provided by the Acadian band, Trio carte blanche. A crowd of at least fifty is expected to attend.
