Mission
The APF being the only network of Canadian French-language newspapers published outside Quebec, its mission is to unite, support, serve and represent its member publications so as to contribute to the development and reach of Canada's Francophone press, and the vitality of Canada's Francophone and Acadian communities. It vigorously defends the principles of free speech and freedom of the press.
Vision
Currently in full expansion, Canada's Francophone press is recognized and valued for its quality and commitment to the country's Francophone and Acadian communities. Deeply embedded in the communities it reflects, it inspires youth and fosters youth identity-building, pride, and sense of belonging. It also defends the rights and the freedom of expression of French-speaking Canadians.
The APF is the voice of Canada's minority Francophone press. It enjoys the trust and commitment of its member newspapers, to which it offers relevant and innovative services. Recognized by its members, partners, and the public at large, the APF is an essential reference organization in the Canadian press industry.
The APF and Francophone press contribute directly to the vitality and continuity of Canada's Francophone and Acadian communities.
